Abstract:
The dataset is phenological photographs of forested tundra and tributary of Indigirka river from 2013 to 2017 near Chokurdakh, Repbulic of Sakha, Russia. Time-lapse digital cameras captured the vegetation growth period and the spring flush of river water at three observation sites (Boydom, Kodac, Verkhny-Khatistakh). The time intervals were 1-4 or 24 hours. This dataset is useful (i) to detect the onset and offset of the growing season and the ice melt timing and water cover periods in wetlands and riversides, (ii) to assess the ecosystem response to climate factors, and (iii) to validate satellite remote sensing in the circumarctic region.
