The Research Council of Norway is inviting relevant communities to provide input on the policy for open science. The policy is focusing on 3 major items

1. open science processes
2. open innovation
3. involvement and citizen science

In recent years we have seen an increasing focus on publication and reuse of scientific data. These data are generated using public funding and it is in the interest of the authorities to maximise the benefit of investments in science. Furthermore, the data is a very important legacy of the science undertaken. As a consequence national, regional (EU) and global requirements for free and ethically open access to data have emerged.

It is now possible to share searches for data with colleagues. When you have specified search criteria and performed a search that you are satisfied with, you will find an envelope at top of the search results pane. This will enter a URL into an email that you can save for alter or send to a colleague. This feature will be further improved in the future.
