Show Abstract
Meteorological observations were carried out on the eastern flank of the glacier using an automatic weather station (Vaisala WXT520), installed at a height of 1.5 m from a rock surface. Air temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind speed and direction were measured by the automatic weather station. Sensors measured these variables at 10 s intervals; mean values were recorded every 5 min with a datalogger (Campbell CR1000).
