The metadata search is now implemented and working. Currently only some products from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute are listed, but we are now harvesting metadata from the the other nodes and testing the quality control and ingestion. This will continue for the next weeks. The current implementation will be updated early 2018. The main fixes in the enxt release will be better utilisation of facets from the search engine. Furthermore, the current version is checking the content of OPeNDAP datasets while searching, this will be moved to a preprocessor step in the next version.

NorDataNet is engaged in the work undertaken by a joint working group between the combined SAON/IASC Arctic Data Committee on Vocabularies and Semantics. The purpose of the working group is:

In the period of 16-30 November, the NorDataNet website will undergo several modifications. The search interface will be deployed in its initial form and subsequently populated with content. Furthermore, feedback mechanisms will be added and also modified during the period. Modifications are partly preparation for the User Interaction Meeting and partly feedback received from users.

Arctic Change 2017 will gather internationally leading scientists, young scientists and students from many disciplines, representatives from local communities in the Arctic, public and private sector, and stakeholders on climate change and adaptation. The conference will cover a wide range of topics, among others, Arctic ecosystems, monitoring and data management, community based research, international collaboration and sustainable development in the Arctic.
